Power Plan

Postby [Aliens]kronenbourg » Sat Nov 26, 2011 4:35 pm

Wookie, I've just been gazing around Windows 7, and stumbled across this:

Control Panel | Power Options | Power Plans

Now, I currently have it on AMD Fusion Utility Recovery Profile, but see there is a Gaming Profile as well.

Shall I use that when gaming? Also, there's one for DVD's as well.

For example, on the AMD one, for Processor Power management, its set to Minimum Processor State of 5%, but gaming is 100%.

There is a Recommended one, called Balenced.

just switch between gaming and cpu when youre doing different stuff, it basically keeps the voltage at a constant rate when youre playing games. and if youre just browsin the net put it on the other setting for lower power consumption
