The Dell Studio XPS 8100

Here's a few of them, for comparison:

And its buy now, pay in a year, like pcworld

well dell is one of the better alternativ for an "factorybuild" pc!

nothing beats the homeassembeld pc in most bang for the buck or quid! in this sammanhang!!

Engelsh translation = sammanhang
consistency, coherence

Hi

After upgrading my powersupply to 550W Corsair PSU, and a brand new SATA DVD-Drive, any idea's on the video card I can look at?

Just getting the cost in view.

Also, is there any sites out there that say what graphics card will work with the CPU/MB?

For graphic i recomend ati 5850, cheapp great performance , not the best but really good, low heat = less noise from fans, using an nvidia card same performance cost about same maybe more not sure, but producesalot more heat and uses more power, and ofcourse alot of noise from fans then, if i would buy a card today i would take ati 5850 , and if i can afford in a near future here i will buy a 5850 and give my son my 4870 :|

Thanks Soli

Looking in Dabs:

http://www.dabs.com/category/components ... 00#filters

4 say PCI Express, and 4 say PCI Express 2.1 x16

From what I remember for my MB, its a 2.1 x16, so that narrows it down.

One comes with games, but all 3 are XFX make. One is Sapphire:

http://www.dabs.com/products/sapphire-t ... 4294950067

Recommended Power Supply 500W

Mine 550W

But, does that mean it uses all of the 500W? If so, that'll slow the pc down.

Is a 1GB too much, shall I opt for something lower?

N it don use that much just a safety thing i guess, eample my system is quad core 4 hd 2 dvd fans, and a ati 4870 and it uses under 400w when maxxing the system, and my 4870 use more power than a ati 5870.
If you are going for xfx be sure to get the preferencce cooling as sed in ati cards from start.
Should look like this

not like this
