I think so to, the amd is really good and working with high demanding programs with severals threads amd seems to be the choice, its also good enough for gaming, and to get 16 gb of ram was important due to my work with pictures and such programs, i really hope i can get it before my trip on friday they said it will propably be sent today??

Japp , the bottleneck where on the cpu/chipset before, next thing for upgrade is better graphiccard for removal of that bottleneck..

Your system must be much better now, isnt it

Not just gaming , it depends on what application you use applications thats supports multithreads where amd is really fast, but single threaded application is no match for intel against amd and amd loose.
And as you say all is better than Q8200 but that cpu has lasted long for me :obey: :obey: :obey:
And the gaming part is not a big difference i read a review on bf3 my cpu and intels 3770 gave same score

soli i have the fx4100 quad core 3.6ghz oc'd at 4.3ghz, running 16gb of corsair vengeance ddr3 1600, on an msi 970-g46 mobo, and 2 amd g/cards an xfx 5870 and an xfx 5830xxx running in xfire x, and im not having any problems at all, the best thing to do with the amd cpus is overclock them to their full potential, the more power you put through it the better they perform :) . And it can all be done through the amd control panel now rather than using the bios setup if needed

Nice , but i cant do it in my controlpanel must use it from bios but my bois on my mobo asus sabertooth you can use the mouse;-) alot easier and all looks nice, i let it oc by itself so depending on what it works with it tops around 4,3 ghz and below, the cpu are far better than i expected im really happy and i can honsthly recomend it to all :obey: :obey: :obey:

the 8 core 4ghz is my next and final purchase, although the quad handles well its like sticking a ford focus engine in a mustang lol, would be nice though to get some benchmarks of peoples pc's and see how all the different specs stack up in comparison

yeah the mouse usage in the bios is alot easier, thats why i got the msi board because you can access and overclock your bios through the desktop :P:P:P
