Hiya

A few people at random times get lag with our server. So, to see where the problem can be, if its Multiplay, ISP etc, can you do this:

Go to Start | Run and type

CMD

Now, in there, first of all, test on something like Google, then our server. To do this, this is Google:

Type the following, and press Enter:

tracert google.com

When the trace ends, right-click inside the cmd screen and choose Select All, then Enter to Copy, and in your reply here, right-click and choose Paste

Tracing route to google.com [173.194.41.104]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 54 ms 99 ms 99 ms O2WirelessBox.lan [192.168.1.254]
2 * * * Request timed out.
3 * * * Request timed out.
4 * * 22 ms 10.1.3.214
5 * * * Request timed out.
6 * * * Request timed out.
7 24 ms 22 ms 22 ms 209.85.240.61
8 22 ms 21 ms 21 ms 72.14.238.53
9 22 ms 21 ms 22 ms lhr08s02-in-f8.1e100.net [173.194.41.104]

Trace complete.

----------

Then our server:

tracert 85.236.100.92

Don't worry if you get some time out, like mine, its just to see the route it takes

Of course, we may want to wait until it moves, but may be interesting for the moment, to see the difference.

Tracing route to host-85-236-100-92.multiplay.co.uk [85.236.100.92]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 53 ms 99 ms 99 ms O2WirelessBox.lan [192.168.1.254]
2 * * * Request timed out.
3 * * * Request timed out.
4 * * * Request timed out.
5 22 ms 23 ms 22 ms linx1.multiplay.co.uk [195.66.224.224]
6 22 ms 22 ms 22 ms host-85-236-100-92.multiplay.co.uk [85.236.100.9

Trace complete.

if the main people with lag could try this, that would be great :)
