Graphic cards

Postby [Aliens]kronenbourg » Mon Nov 08, 2010 7:43 am

Hiya

These are in the Clearance corner at dabs, are any worth me going for? I know the card Ultim has would cost at least £30 in postage, so having a look at other options, as a new case is the second option:

Tis the season for sales.....

So, off I go to dabs and otehr computer places for that blasted card.

Now, I'll be posting some details over the next week, so any input is greatly received.

Also, can a few of you post what cards you all have, so I can make some sort of comparison (still have that site of comparison for graphics Bjorne).

Gonna be on BC2 in the first week or so of January if it kills me!!!!!!!

My budget is around £150, so anything up to that.

I have XP, This motherboard:

http://www.ciao.co.uk/Productinformatio ... E__6276584

Memory is DDR SDRAM

Slots:

•1 PCI Express x16
•1 processor - Socket 939
•2 PCI Express x1
•3 PCI
•1 PCI Express x4

How do I know which is which? Currently, my card is Nvidia GeForce 7800 GT. Can it just go in its place?

Thanks guys :)

Don't have W7, and not really wanting it, but will do the full cleanup with the drivers.

Will any of the ones listed above that Sie posted, be okay for my board?
