Wireless card

Postby [Aliens]kronenbourg » Sat Sep 12, 2009 1:46 pm

Another question: I'm moving out of home soon, and will have to use Wireless broadband.

Going with BT for the phone line, and then O2 for the broadband, the top package.

So, does anyone know which card is best? It won't be a wired connection, but it will be partly shared by someone with a laptop for basic surfing.

I'll be using the main bulk of the connection.

Someone mentioned getting a card with a 'bridge' attached, but not sure what that is exactly.

Need this one in the next few days though, so thanks once again

Its the wireless side I'm new to, so just asking for some help :(

Once its up and running, I'll be back on track to learn about that side, as I also want to get a router (I know about those), as anotehr computer will be running Linux.

See, I do know some things

I think so.. I like Netgear, seldom had any major problems with it.. Thought I had though in the past and bought new stuff, but as it were the phone company were the ones who had f-ked up..

Tell me about it, the reviews said it messed with Soundblaster, and they were right.

However, using a cable now, and its okay. No need for the card, selling on the notice board at work :P
