Nope, we can still use Rconnet, I'll just have a read on the plugin.

I'll be setting stuff up Wed, as Thursday I'm at the dentist, and its a tooth extraction, so I know I won't be in the mood for server stuff Q-#

Will set new map rotation up this week, but this is a chance to discuss something we were chatting about in TS early on Friday night.

At the moment, we have a 36 slot server, with 2 commanders, making it a 34 slots. Apart from the cost, one of the big issues we're facing is filling it up.

I don't mean with friends etc, I mean random public players.

So, at the moment, say we have 6 of us in there, thats 3 a side. Fine, no issue there. But when you're a public player searching for a server, if I see 6 out of 34 in a server, I avoid like the plague, and go for either a 26 of 32, or 6 of 16.

So, my idea is to reduce the size of the server next time (we pay monthly, so not a problem there) so it is of a managable size. I know we may want a larger one later, due to people etc, but on the many weeks we've had it, we barely get about 10 players overall. Again, 10 of 34 looks low to many players, unless there is a full clan looking for a server, but then they'll probably be in their own one anyway.

We can still possibly have commanders, as they bring a fresh element to the game.

So, here are some ideas:

18 slots (2 commanders) becomes 16 - 8 per side - £13.50
20 slots (2 commanders) becomes 18 - 9 per side - £15
24 slots (2 commanders) becomes 22 - 11 per side - £18 - Not good, you'll have 2 squads of 5, and lone.

Or without commanders:

16 slots - 8 per side - £12
20 slots - 10 per side - £15 (nice even number)

I'll leave the choice up to the people that reply, but my ideas would be:

20 slots - 10 per side - £15 (nice even number) - No commanders
18 slots becomes 16 - 8 per side - £13.50 - With Commanders

That sounds good, decent sized squads both sides as well:

Hi Kro,

Either or for me I will go with the flow

1. 20 slots - 10 per side - £15 (nice even number) - No commanders

2. 18 slots becomes 16 - 8 per side - £13.50 - With Commanders

Cheers

Okay, speaking to the others in TS, and posts above, this is the main to go for:

1. 20 slots - 10 per side - £15 (nice even number) - No commanders

So, when renewal comes up, I'll go with that one. I'll write all stuff down in RconNet, so we can get straight into it.

----

Side issue, no gunmaster yet, have to wait for rconnet to set it up

So, payment is 11th June, so will contact Fragnet this week, say not to extend it, and that we would like to go for a different size server without commanders.
