So, the only problem I have, is remembering my passwords for my ESU/SF acconts.

If not, I'll start new ones up, but that's not really important.

The Computer is the main one :D :D

Guess you can retrieve all , as long as you know your mail as all accounts need a mail adress

Nope, the email addresses I'm not sure what they are.

Its no problem, its fun for new badges again.

Now, another question. I may have to look at another system, so how does this one sound:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... =FS-063-OE

Its on special offer this week as well!!!

The brand new Ultima Warlord system is at the pinnacle of performance. The cooling and power supply components on this system ensure the up most reliability while keeping the noise levels to a minimum. Be it gaming, watching high definition content or just browsing the Internet the Ultima Warlord full system has the power to bring your PC experience to life.

- AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 3.20GHz Overclocked to 3.80GHz!
- Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
- Corsair XMS3 DHX 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600C9DHX
- Gelid Silent Spirit CPU Cooler CPU Cooler

- 1yr Onsite Collect & Return Warranty

Note - When 8GB of RAM is selected the overclock will be lowered to maintain system stability. We will provide the system at the highest possible stable overclock.

So, chose the Radeon 4890, no extra ram, and...er.....er....XP for the moment, and its:

£828.23 inc VAT

Alos, Vista: Is it okay with Battlefield 2, or shall I stay with XP?

The reason, is that Vista I get a voucher for a free upgrade to Windows 7, but need to know if its okay.

Will be the 32-bit, XP or Vista.

I still have no idea why the heck you want to go with a 32 bit OS?

I'm using Vista Ultimate 64 bit, and it works like a charm!
I still haven't encountered any major problems, and actually had more issues with XP in the beginning....

And you don't have to remember anything about the BF2 accounts....

Just make sure you save your "Profiles" folder inside the "battlefield 2" folder located in your documents...

You can (should!) erase everything but profile.con and controls.con in each profile folder (numbered 0001 to XXXX, depending on how many you have). The reason for this is that otherwise you'll probably encounter problems due to having a totally new hardware setup...

If you want to, you can also check each profile by opening the profile.con file in notepad... everything you need to know is in there, except for the password, which (unfortunately) is coded....

But you wont need it, as you just put the folders back where they belong after reinstalling, and all profiles and control settings will be as they were...
Just remember to check the "remember password" box ;)

I always keep a backup of my "profiles" folder..... just in case anything goes wrong....

So, vista 64-bit is okay for battlefield 2?

I assume other games are okay? It will be 4GB RAM on the last link I gave above.

Good tip about the profiles, will look at them tomorrow

What Chrille typed, is that true for Vista?

BF2, and all other games I've tried so far, work perfectly on Vista 64 bit!

I've heard roumors about the Vista All Blacks ;) but I still haven't had it confirmed....

I use anti aliasing, and still haven't been kicked or banned for turning up black screenies....

If you can afford it, go for 64 bit OS, and 6 to 8 gigs of RAM. You won't regret it! What you loose in overclock, you certainly gain in stability, lower heat and higher available RAM.

I have 4 gigs RAM, and Vista (Ultimate, with all goodies turned on) itself uses up 20%-35% of the RAM...

On the other hand, 4 gigs is enough, and so is my "Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1866 MHz, @2600 MHz (7 x 371)", but that doesn't mean I don't want more ;)
