Not intending to put you down here boss, but I wouldn't consider that speed worth anything untill it's completely stable.... :|
But I'm sure you'll get it stable at those speeds eventually, messing around a bit with the CPU and memory voltages.
And when you do, those numbers sure are impressive!!!!! :obey: :obey: :obey:

Here's a good program to test both CPU (single and dual core) and RAM for stability issues...
If you can run a blended test for more than 2 hours, you can consider the system pretty stable...
I ran it for a few hours without problems, so I'm quite confident my settings are safe.
To test a quad, you just run 2 instances of Orthos, and manually pick the cores to stress....
http://www.overclock.net/downloads/138142-orthos.html

Here are my numbers though:

Solis old CPU (E6300), originally at 1.86 GHz, is running at 2.6 GHz in my rig. And it's 100% stable!!!
That's an increase of 40%! :D Without changing anything but the Bus speed.

But that's not the best part...
How about these temperatures?:

CPU 22 degrees (Fan at 18%!!!)
GPU 35 degrees (Fans running in silent mode = half speed)
Case 21 degrees
HDD1 26 degrees
HDD2 30 degrees

All temps at idle...

When everything is at 100% load, add about 10 degrees to all values except for the HDD temperatures...
they increase no more than 5 degrees

And to top it off, the room temperature is 24-25 degrees :)

Cooling system:

2x120 mm low speed chassie fans (Arctic Cooling AF-12025L),
one intake at front, one exhaust at the rear. 60 Kr/£5 each
1 CPU Fan (Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro) 240 Kr/£20
1 GPU Fan (Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo) 360 Kr/£30

Total cost: 720 Kr/£60

Conclusion:
1. Can you tell I love Arctic Cooling? Noone beats them at Perfomance/Price ratio 8)
2. Can I beat your numbers? Probably not, but my system is 100% stable, and I'll never have to worry about heat problems.
That's good enough for me :) :) :)

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the system is really quiet too...
That, together with the price tag, was the primary objective 8) 8)

well still its an rekord! (for aliens). The world rekord holders arnt 100% stable ether, but for an workstation itÅ› nice if its 100% stable
i hope you get it 100% stable :)

and i can only speak for my self now about my rig its 100% stable in games and os now in 3.0 i have increast the voltage for mostly everything but if i run prime its not stable (so my calulation) i cant fram mana the condision prime makes with daly gamer/workstation stuffs!

Its stable for vista using , but test programs it arent yet, i lowered it to 3,66 and will try it there first as i want my memorys to be att the rated value!

I think 4 ghz arent impossible as it runs with an ease to 3.84 and voltage arent close to intels max spec :obey: :obey: :obey:

3.66 is still a huge increase!!
Hope you get it stable, and can continue to increase the speed!! :D :D
If you can get it up to 4 GHz stable, that'd be amazing...
I think that'd make you the first Alien to break the 4 GHz barrier!!!

Still, if you "only" get it up to 3.66 GHz it'll still be a massive 46.4% increase in CPU speed!!!  :obey: :obey:

Yep, sounds like you've found a setting that is stable!!
That means you now know where to start if you want to try and squeeze some more juice out of your system

yes, but as soon as my son get this cpu i will go for 3,2 first and see if it is enough and if it is it stay at 3.2 until he need more
But its fun to see how far this one can go :obey: :obey: :obey: :obey: :obey:

I sure is!!

I know how excited I got when Björne was here and we were experimenting with this CPU :o :o
At first I was a bit disappointed with "only" reaching 2.6 (since you got it up to 2.8 and beyond),
but in retrospect I have to admit that I'm really pleased!!
After all, I bought a 1.86 and I can easily run it at 2.6 without any signs of problems anywhere...

I think it's my MoBo that sets the limits, since it's a budget version certainly NOT known for it's clocking abilities
